How to/Tips/Information:

What is the Old Colony Library Network (OCLN)?
The Old Colony Library Network provides residents of 24 towns in the South Shore/Southeastern Massachusetts region with an equal opportunity to access information.
Scituate Town Library card holders are entitled to take out materials and return them, to and from, any library within the OCLN area. For more info on the 24 towns in OCLN, click here. Find out more at the OCLN Website.

What the catalog can do for you:
The OCLN catalog is called iBistro. You can access the catalog at the Library's computer terminals and from home via the Internet.
iBistro provides:

  • Searches by title, author, subject, type of material
  • Current status, location, format of material
  • Holds on books, cassettes, magazines, etc.
  • Automatic delivery of OCLN intra-library loans of material you place on hold
  • Status of the materials you have out, when they are due, and what you have on hold
  • Note: The system is unavailable on Friday nights between 6 pm and 12:15am for system maintenance. Occasionally this will happen at other times.

Tips on searching the catalog - it's as easy as 1, 2, 3.
