Volunteer Opportunities
Teen Tutors
Teen Tutors will be an enthusiastic group of high school tutors who run the Homework Club on Wednesday evenings here at the library. The Homework Club will be a place for students in grades 4 and up to do homework and projects and to get help with their assignments if necessary.
We are looking for a mature, positive and patient group of high school students to be good academic, social and interpersonal role models for these kids. You don't have to be a stellar student to be a stellar tutor!
This is a pilot program from October 6-November 17 only. We will evaluate the program in November and decide whether or not to continue at that time.
Story Teens are a fabulous group of teens who run Pajama Story Time on Tuesday nights here at the library. Story Teens are trained to choose stories, read and interact with children of all ages. Plus, we get to wear fuzzy slippers!
